Meta: Forum list, moderators

I notice that we have only three forums, not including "MOCs," "events," "meta" (discussion of forum structures) or "off-topic" (e.g., Japanese mecha cockpit arcade games). And the obvious person to be a moderator (blue/green names) (LEGO Dog) isn't, which probably means nobody can add events to the calendar. (Or do we want to use Google Drive for that? Or Google Calendar. Are they integrated in any way?) Or are moderators and admins two distinct user-classes?

LEGO Dog is an Admin and can do whatever he pleases on the boards here. He's an owner.

As far as forums, some are hidden for club member discussion only. PennLUG's boards are basically setup the same way. If your not logged in things "disappear" this is standard practice on most forums. Forumotion uses something called "Groups" I personally think the users classes should be changed as your either a user or administrator; anyway.

I upgraded you to Club Member so you should see more now. As to more boards we can create whatever we want. There is a Google Calendar for DelVaLug which links back to DelVaLUG.com, or we can use this calendar. I'm not aware at this time of any integration with google calendar and forumotion calendar.

I only see two sections and just a few posts. I should be a club member as well...

Jim is probably best suited to fix this sort of thing. He has and continues to do an excellent job with all the web sites for both clubs. I love the idea of having all the areas of discussion that the PennLUG forums have. It's also nice to have the side board where updated topics appear. I know this is an upcoming site and it just takes time and patience to get these things done. Please feel free to make suggestions on how to make our club home better. And again, a BIG thanks to Jim.
